Why should investors care about climate change? How will climate change affect the ‘bottom line’ for businesses? If climate change turns out to be a hoax will investors be affected? Is there a preferred type of investment that will fare better under the stress of global change? What can we expect from investments in companies that are big environmental stressors or polluters? Jordan Goodman, host of The Money Answers Show, talks with James Ellman, author of the new book ‘Hot Stocks: Investing For Impact and Profit In a Warming World’. Goodman and Ellman discuss the major environmental changes we are likely to see in the next 5-10 years, what major S&P 500 industries may actually benefit from climate change and why, and where investors might consider investing.
